Will Green has been recognised as a winning farmer – winning in terms of his hands on skill set, and as a high achiever within the competitive dairy industry awards programme.

Will was recently named National Dairy Farmer of the Year following on from his win as Regional Dairy Manager of the Year in 2018.

Will and partner Sally Eames run 1060 cows on 270h irrigated property owned by Dairy Holdings Ltd at Hinds, 18km from Ashburton. Sally works off-farm but is involved in the business in the evenings and weekends.

The couple own 90% of the herd and Will describes his current position, as a herd owning share milker, as a fantastic opportunity to develop as they work towards farm ownership.

Will says he had the experience but knew he needed the best tools to help him reach goals.
