For Jamie, the chance to take on a lease at Temer Station wasn’t something he had planned for, but it quickly became an opportunity worth backing.
“This has been a big shift. I had a bit of a plan around where I wanted to go, but I didn’t think I’d find myself in this position.”
Located about 10 minutes from Akitio, the 1,240-hectare property runs around 10,000 stock units. The system is focused on breeding, with around 6,000 ewes, 450 in-calf cows, and a smaller number of trade cattle.
The goal is clear. Pay down debt, build a profitable business, and put himself in a position to secure the lease long term.
