HR Advisor – Part time

HR Advisor – Part time

The role

Based in our Masterton office, the HR Advisor role will lead our people and culture function, providing advice and ensuring we have strong processes in place to support our managers and team.  This role will be responsible end-to-end across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Day to day this role will:

  • Provide generalist HR advice across key areas including remuneration, recruitment, training, performance management, ER, wellbeing, and H&S
  • Support our managers and team through regular HR processes
  • Manage key HR projects and initiatives, including supporting change management
  • Assist with developing plans, policies, and processes
  • Supervise our payroll function
  • Liaise with our external HR and recruitment consultants when additional support is needed

This is a part time role, 20-25hrs per week, and we’d ideally like these hours to be completed across five days.

About you

You will bring an approachable and friendly nature with an ability to build rapport with a wide range of people. You will be able to influence and advise senior managers, providing coaching and support when needed. Along with this, you will also ideally bring:

  • Around 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to generalist HR and the full employee lifecycle
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation
  • Confidence in providing advice to managers, or undertaking research to further your understanding
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a natural ability to work under pressure
  • A passion for HR and employee experience

This is an opportunity for you to develop our HR function and bring a new approach to what we do. In return, we offer a fun, supportive and flexible environment where you will have opportunities to learn and grow.
