Farm Focus awarded Cyber Gold

On Thursday 29 July, Farm Focus was announced the winner of the Greater Wellington Gold Awards Cyber Gold section.

The Wellington Gold Awards are in association with The Dominion Post and celebrate the excellence and enterprise of businesses in the Greater Wellington Region, and are a way of paying tribute to those who are building the community.

Farm Focus was one of five Greater Wellington-Region finalists vying for the award, including Arlo Software, Impact Labs, Optimal Workshop and PaySauce.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Katrina McClelland says the Farm Focus team was thrilled to be recognised with the award, and believes it is also a win for Wairarapa.

“We’re a Wairarapa company passionate about farming and believe New Zealand farmers must have access to the best technology, to help them stay at the top of best farming practices and plan for the future.”

“It wouldn’t be possible to provide the best service and understanding of what a farmer needs, if we were based in a city. Being rural based we are not only in close touch with our farmers, but many of our team are also farmers, or have experience in the agricultural sector.”

“You certainly don’t need to have big corporate offices to be a leader in your field. A brilliant idea and successful business model can come from anywhere. We have been very fortunate to have our dedicated product and development team here in Masterton, building world-class cloud-based technology.”

“We also appreciate the input of our customers, who provide feedback, vote and prioritise our next product features. Farm Focus really is developed by the farmer for the farmer.”

“It’s a proud day for us, but I bet there will be a lot of people out there reading this who are not surprised at all that a Wairarapa business has scooped another top award. We are a region that punches well above its weight when it comes to technology, industry and innovation.”
