The Big Picture
February 2021
With January behind us and mid-February fast approaching, it’s back to business as we look at the skies and wonder when the next drop of rain is due.
Its bone dry here in the Wairarapa and, while there was rain pre-Xmas which boosted pasture and helped get some good quality baleage in, we’re now in the same boat as large parts of the country also needing a good downpour.
Business-wise we’ve hit the ground running as work continues on the development and release of Farm Focus. This is the replacement product for Cashmanager RURAL. You will find that while it looks different, it also feels comfortingly familiar and as you adopt its new workflows, you will discover that it offers major new benefits. Cashmanager is considered so good by so many people that it’s hard to imagine that it could be improved on. Rest assured that we have delivered on that promise.
I’m proud to say Farm Focus is the most modern and user-friendly farm financial management application available and it’s great to see thousands of customers have already made the switch.
Change can be confronting but it’s inevitable in any business especially so for farming where no two years are the same. We are heading into a period of major change and I wanted to ensure you are able to make strategic and tactical decisions armed with the best information possible.
After 40 years in the farming business, I remain passionate about what we’ve doing and getting out and about talking to customers remains an important and enjoyable part of my routine. With that in mind I’m about to set off with a small team of our experts on a countrywide series of information sharing Roadshows. These will be held from Dargaville to Invercargill and are designed to provide insights about Focus that make the benefits of switching before balance date a compelling story.
The interactive meetings will provide an opportunity for customers to ask questions, there’ll also be an opportunity for a cuppa and catch up.
If you want to sign up for the roadshow visit our registration page. You can also switch all by yourself – just go to www.switchtofocus.co.nz.
Finally, you’ll have noticed we’ve also made some branding changes!
Every reference to the product or the company now includes Farm Focus. You now log in by going to www.farmfocus.co.nz, emails will be name@farmfocus.co.nz and the company name is now Farm Focus Ltd.
The name change will make it simpler for all. Of course, our legendary excellent customer phone support will continue, plus we have added innovations such as chat plus lots of training videos. You can even attend webinars! It’s like personal training but from your home!
Best wishes for the season ahead and fingers crossed for some decent rain!
